All-ceramic inlay and filling
Dentistry
Mihaela came to us with very old, worn and discolored fillings, as well as a veneer on one of her front teeth, which did not look good at all.
Some cavities can be smaller, and others, unfortunately, being very extensive, lead to the removal of a very large surface area of the tooth. When the tooth substance is extensively affected, restoring teeth with simple fillings is risky.
Therefore, modern medicine offers us as an alternative full-ceramic inlays (onlays). Similar to dental crowns, but do not require grinding the tooth, integrating exactly into the space that was affected by decay and cleaned, restoring the tooth's morphology and providing it with resistance and protection for a longer period of time. In this case, a smaller cavity can be observed, which could be solved with a filling, but also a large cavity, which required a root canal treatment and, finally, an all-ceramic inlay. The old dental veneer was replaced. The final result shows us how important attention to detail is and how much a single tooth that is not in harmony with the rest can change us.
